This is a great camp. I was a little hesitant to send my daughter to a camp that is new to the Chicagoland area and not yet proven, but I am so glad that I did. As a parent it is never easy to drop a small child off with new people, or in a new environment, but immediately I felt reassured by all of the pleasant staff here. On my daughter's first day I was anxious to drop her off for a full day, and to my surprise she didn't want to leave at pickup time and asked me if she could stay longer. She is only 5 years old and typically doesn't show such enthusiasm to stay at school for a full day. For the entire week all my daughter would tell me is how much she loved going to camp and how she wanted to stay and play with her new friends. In the morning she promptly gets ready and is so eager to leave for camp.
I am so happy that my daughter is enjoying camp as we've had negative experiences in the past with a certain place. The staff is really amazing, they are so energetic and keep the children engaged all day. The camp itself seems really geared at fun and learning. The instructors dress up, dance with the children, and keep them in engaged in alot of art activities. I think the children can really relate to learning in this kind of environment. Their is also a really fun ceremony at the end of the week. We both look forward to the weeks to come. Keep up the great work to all of the staff at Camp Galileo and we look forward to the weeks to come.
